Fairy Tale Collection
consists of rings, earrings and necklaces made of polymer clay and 925 Sterling Silver (nickel free).
The clay part is fragile and the jewelry should be handled with care.
By fragile we mean that if you hit the clay flower hard agains a wall or floor, pieces of it are very likely to brake off. If you drop it on a wood floor from, lets say the height of a table, it should be ok.
So, we recommend, you take care of your Fairy Tale jewelry as you would take care of your thin, silk dress.
Silver & Clay
We like to use silver (polishing) dip for cleaning the silver parts and dishwashing soap & brush for the flowers.
A drop of soap on top of flower, with warm water and an old toothbrush to get in between leaves, is in our opinion the best way to do it. Just brush the flower the same way you brush your teeth.
(It's ok for the flower to get in touch with water and a day on the beach or in your favorite swimming pool is fine too. However, if you let your jewelry rest in water for 3 days straight or more, it's texture will change.)
Afterwards, if the silver needs to be polished, just dip the silver part according to instructions on your silver dip and keep in mind that it is ok for the clay flower to get a little bit of dip on the sides.
(Avoid putting the whole jewelry in the dip for more then 5 seconds because the clay will lose color and become dry.)
